Most homes in Delahey went up after 2000, and the carpet that came with them is usually a synthetic cut pile or twist that responds well to hot water extraction. The jobs we see most here are end-of-lease cleans for rentals, builder’s dust after a move-in, and pet accidents on the family-room carpet. Every vacate clean comes with a receipt the agent will accept.

Carpet steam cleaning in Delahey

Steam cleaning is hot water extraction: we pre-vacuum, pre-spray the traffic lanes, then inject hot water and a mild solution under pressure and pull it straight back out with the dirt. It is the method carpet manufacturers ask for on their warranties and the one we recommend for heavy soiling, pet accidents and end-of-lease cleans in Delahey. Carpets are walkable straight away and fully dry in one to three hours.

Carpet dry cleaning in Delahey

Dry cleaning uses a low-moisture compound worked into the pile with a rotary machine and vacuumed out, so the carpet is ready to walk on in about an hour. It suits lightly soiled carpet, wool and sisal that should not get wet, and offices or rentals that need to be back in use the same day. If we think steam will give a better result for what we find, we say so before starting.

How pricing works

Every job is quoted before we start. Tell us the rooms, seats or floor size and your suburb, and we give you a fixed price on the phone or by email. There is no travel charge anywhere in metropolitan Melbourne, and the price we quote is the price you pay.

There is no travel charge to Delahey or anywhere else inside metropolitan Melbourne, and the quote you get on the phone is the price you pay. Steam and dry cleaning cost the same.

Stains, pet odour and end of lease cleans

Fresh spills usually come out with the standard clean. Older coffee, wine, ink and pet stains get a specialist treatment on the day, and pet urine that has reached the underlay is treated with an enzyme that breaks down the odour instead of masking it. For a vacate clean in Delahey we work to the condition report, do the stairs and wardrobes, and leave a receipt for the agent.

Booking carpet cleaners in Delahey

We work Monday to Saturday, 7am to 7pm, and same-day service in Delahey is available most days when you call early. Delahey is in the Brimbank council area (postcode 3037) and is part of our west Melbourne coverage. We cover Sydenham, Taylors Lakes, Keilor Downs, Kings Park and Cairnlea on the same run, so bookings for neighbouring homes can often be done back to back. Call 1300 841 383 or use the quote form for a fixed price.

Carpet care between cleans

Vacuum weekly, more often in the hallway and family room, and blot spills straight away with a white cloth rather than rubbing. Most Delahey homes need a professional clean every 12 to 18 months; with pets, young children or allergy sufferers, every 6 to 12 months keeps the carpet and the air noticeably cleaner. See our carpet cleaning page for the full guide to steam versus dry.
