Homes in the east and what they usually need

The east has some of Melbourne’s best-kept period homes in Kew, Hawthorn, Camberwell and Canterbury, where wool carpet, sisal and good rugs are the norm and a careful low-moisture clean matters more than speed. Should I choose steam or dry cleaning?

Steam (hot water extraction) for heavy soiling, pet accidents, allergies and end-of-lease cleans; dry cleaning for wool and natural fibres, light maintenance, and rooms that must be back in use within the hour. We recommend one after looking at the carpet, and both cost the same.
