Carpet dry cleaning across Melbourne: low-moisture, walk on it within an hour, safe for wool and rentals. Fixed quote before we start.
Takes 2 minutes · reply within 60 min, Monday to Saturday, 7am to 7pm

Masters of Steam and Dry Cleaning offers low-moisture carpet dry cleaning across Melbourne for homes, apartments and offices that cannot wait hours for carpet to dry. A cleaning compound or encapsulating solution is worked into the pile with a rotary machine, binds to the dirt, and is vacuumed away. You can walk on the carpet within about an hour. Dry cleaning is quoted the same way as steam, with a fixed price before we start.

We clean carpets, couches, rugs and mattresses. We do not dry-clean clothes. If you are looking for a garment dry cleaner, we are not the right business, and we would rather tell you now than waste your call.
How carpet dry cleaning works
After a thorough vacuum, we apply a dry compound or an encapsulation solution that crystallises around soil particles as it dries. A counter-rotating brush machine works it through the pile, lifting flattened fibres at the same time. A final vacuum removes the crystals and the dirt with them. Very little water is used, so there is no wicking, no shrinkage risk and no damp smell.
When dry cleaning is the right choice
- Apartments and rentals where the carpet must be usable straight away.
- Wool, sisal, jute and other natural fibres that shrink or brown with too much water.
- Offices and shops that need cleaning done between closing and opening.
- Maintenance cleans between deep steam cleans.
For heavy soiling, pet accidents or anything that has soaked in, carpet steam cleaning gets more out. We will recommend one or the other when you describe the carpet.
Couch and mattress dry cleaning
The same low-moisture method works on fabric couches and mattresses, which is useful for velvet, linen blends and anything with a water-sensitive backing. See couch cleaning and mattress cleaning for prices per seat and per mattress.
How pricing works
Every job is quoted before we start. Tell us the rooms, seats or floor size and your suburb, and we give you a fixed price on the phone or by email. There is no travel charge anywhere in metropolitan Melbourne, and the price we quote is the price you pay.

FAQs
How long does dry-cleaned carpet take to dry?
About an hour. The process uses very little moisture, so most rooms can be walked on as soon as we finish.
Is dry cleaning as good as steam cleaning?
For light to medium soiling it gives a comparable result and dries far faster. For heavy soiling, pet urine or anything that has soaked into the underlay, steam cleaning extracts more.
Do you dry-clean clothes?
No. We clean carpets, couches, rugs, mattresses, tiles and vinyl floors. Our name refers to the two carpet cleaning methods we offer.
