Drying time and caring for the couch after

Fabric upholstery takes four to six hours to dry, depending on the fabric, the weather and the airflow. Apartments with sealed windows can be slow, so open a balcony door if you can, run the air conditioner or point a fan across the couch. Stand seat cushions on their edges and keep pets and kids off until it is fully dry.

To keep it looking good, vacuum the couch every week or two with the upholstery tool, flip and rotate the cushions, and use a washable throw where people eat or the dog likes to sleep.
